We worked closely with a great group of riders who know the Surrey Hills very well. The style of photography is to show the drama of riding on trails that you wish you had enough grip for. Tyres make a difference, especially when 4 riders are crossing over the trails at speed and just missing each other. The weather was perfect for creating an atmosphere, the temperature on the other hand was very cold. Seeing the Santa Cruz bikes perform throughout the day was great. Having 4 riders adds a lot of pressure to get the style and continuity right, one mess up would mean the day would be over very quickly. With so many angles and scenes recorded I knew the edit would be tricky. The film is part 1 of 3... looking forward to making the next one already. A special thank you to everyone who helped on the project.
