What is the Cold Water Classic? What does Tasmania have to offer? Attracting such surfing dignitaries as 2001 ASP World Champion CJ Hobgood, former ASP World Tour surfer Cory Lopez and big wave ripper Mark Matthews, the O’Neill Cold Water Classic demands the best in rugged, wild conditions.<br /><br />

As a World Qualifying Series 6-Star event, surfer’s including Jordy Smith, Ben Dunn and big air king Josh Kerr are turning up and taking on the wild waves of Tasmania. With WQS comps of this calibre, and the ASP World Tour moving to the famous Bells Beach break in early April for round two, the surfing world is buzzing right now. Will Kelly Slater regain some form following a disappointing display in the first round, or will the wave of young talent consumer him in his pursuit of a tenth World Tour title? At this stage we just do not know, but one thing we do know is that we’ll be bringing you some of the best surfing footage on the net, so stay tuned.
