VQS Starfish Surf Series % River Jetties, CA - 1/31/09

With the forecast calling for absolute flatness leading up to the final Starfish event, we were pretty worried about whether we would even be able to run on Saturday. Fortunately River Jetties seems to always pulls through and as we rolled up first to be greeted by some rippable waist high waves rolling through. With the only ridable waves in all of southern California and some insane weather the competitors couldn't wait to hit the water for the shot at the heap of prize, cash and qualifying points.
