I lived in Silverton 18 years ago. My roommate and I would go in the back country, ice-climbing or go skiing and knock off some Avs that you could see from town. Charlie and Greg the sheriffs would come to our house and tell us that they would not rescue us. It was great the yuppies would descend for the Avalanche Classes. So we would give them something they could study. I miss the Kendall Mountain Cafe and Betty taking care of like we were here sons...... I always knew Silverton would be yuppified and commercialized. This goes beyond what I foresaw.
